Broken Perfection *VERY rough draft*

This shattered spider web
Lies that weave across the surface
Just those teenage things they said
Just little dreams shes written
In her diary

They even thought it was inspiring
That looking happy
While you’re dying

And its just broken perfection
Dreams lost somewhere along the way
Dying on the inside
Polished out on the outside

And she’s standing at the mirror
Watching hope all drain away
Her frame shrinks
Day by day
Spiderwebs of deceit spreading across her mirror
The glass running red
Where she chooses
To attack the lies she lives by

And she stops to think
This is broken perfection
When I get to the end of my rope
And I’m admitting that I’m dying inside
And this is where I thought all was perfect
But I find I’m just trusting in lies

And she gazes upon
Her own broken perfection
Envies the blood running down her hands
It is free and she wants to follow
The knuckles cut
Her face shattered by the spiderweb
Spreading across her mirror

In a moment of clarity she thinks
Broken Perfection
hanging upon a cross
Flesh ripped from bone
And blood running down

Broken Perfection
Rising from the grave
Days in darkness
Spent and then revealing light

Broken Perfection
He cried for the cup to pass
Yet He chose to let the blood run
Freedom

Her own broken perfection
Revealed for what it is
Pride wrap in the guise of self security
Falling by the wayside
As she gazes at Broken Perfection
