Pick up a roadmap, you’re going to need it…

“to not have to be an IHOPian”

That’s how Hayley described our hang out night tonight. After the conference we jetted over to State Line to catch some food and some serious laughs before her curfew for OTI.

It was nice to not have to be an IHOPer for a little while. As much as I love being here at IHOP-KC, I sometimes need to just get off the base. An hour of laughs with a friend while talking about living in the south (yeah, she’s from Dallas) is worth staying up late for me.

We plan on hanging out again soon.

I know exactly how that feels… and I’m not even an IHOPer in Kansas City… I’m a HOPer in Hattiesburg, MS… I spend every waking hour here…

YAY Hattiesburg! Next time I go home for any significant amount of time I may head that way. (At the earliest it will be this summer.)

Take my advice - take a couple hours a week and spend some time not being an IHOPer. You’ll be happy if you do it - and you’ll value the prayer room all the more. I’m trying to balance a full time job and a few hours a week in the prayer room - and I need those couple hours of down time to really appriciate the prayer room.
